We are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility where you can see the animals. You must fill out an application before a meet can be scheduled. We will get back to applicants that are approved for meets. Our apologies but we can’t respond to every application. All our adoptable pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. For fosters all medical expenses are covered and supplies provided. Home checks and meets with any pets in the home are required for foster or adoption and there are adoption fees. If your application is a fit we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you!
Hi! I’m Jeff Gordon, better known as simply “Gordon” or “G”. I am a young adolescent cat looking for my super-special forever home!
I do have some special needs to consider, but first let’s talk about how AWESOME I am! I am a talkative, playful, loving, goofy young dude who is always just looking for a good time with the people and animals I love. If there was one word to sum up my personality, it would just be “happy”!
Now, let’s talk about my care! I have some mild vestibular issues, food allergies, and separation anxiety, so these are important considerations that potential adopters should keep in mind. My vestibular issues cause me to sometimes circle counter-clockwise (hence my silly name), but honestly don’t really affect my quality of life all that much. I mostly circle when I am really stressed, so simply keeping me on a schedule and managing my stress works to manage my symptoms. My food allergies and my anxiety do require some special care to manage, but since staying at my foster mama’s house, we have figured out a system that works for me!
Here is what we have found works: Eating raw ground rabbit: I cannot digest poultry or processed foods- they make me sick! Luckily we have two different local suppliers who can provide my adopters with food that meets my needs and agrees with my system. They’ll even deliver right to your door- all you have to do is defrost and feed! Using the buddy system: I can’t be alone, so I need a very patient fur friend who I can hang out with all day long. I absolutely love both cats and dogs, but please make sure that they are very patient animals so that they love me too! Since I am just so silly, sometimes older or more shy animals can be intimidated by some of my goofy antics. Having my human around for most of the day: Because I can get stressed, it would be best if I was adopted by someone who works from home, is retired, or even works part time. Staying on a strict routine helps my anxiety, which in turn helps minimize my vestibular symptoms.
You must be willing to learn all about my preferences and be willing to accomodate my specific needs to be considered as an adopter- it is incredibly important for my happiness and health! This all may sound like a lot, but once you get into a routine, it’s really not that bad! Plus, my mama says that I make her laugh and smile every day, and that makes all of it worth it.
To express interest in adopting me, please email my foster mom Malia at email@example.com.
