The time has come for our sweet senior boy Charlie to find his forever home.

His foster family loves him very much but have tried for several months to make it work with the resident kitty and it’s just not working out.

We know his forever home is out there!

About Charlie:

This sweet distinguished gentleman is around 8 years young. He is a true gentle giant, weighing in around 80 lbs. Charlie came to us clearly having been a neglected outside-only dog, with the calluses on his body to prove it and a bottom mass that was successfully removed a few months ago with clean margins! Woo! Charlie is now healed up and looking for his forever home! To be honest we would have kept him forever if he had been able to get along with our resident kitty, but alas they’ve decided they don’t like each other!

Charlie is amazing because he:
    •    is fully potty trained
    •    does well free in the house and is non-destructive. All he wants is access to his bed and he will snooze most of the day or follow his people around the house
    •    not food or toy reactive
    •    deals well with our alpha female pittie (its her house and he knows it, respects her boundaries very well)
    •    His “woo woos” are freaking adorable
    •    has been great with all dogs after a proper introduction. He is good at reading his doggie companions (both old and young) and will nap near them or engage in play if there is the chance.

Charlie’s family needs to know:
    •    I take rimadyl and gabapentin everyday for my hip arthritis. These meds help me with my stiffness and mobility. I love to take a walk everyday which helps me keep that pep in my step
    •    No kitties in the home (and maybe best with no very small dogs)
    •    I have an allergy to chicken
    •    I am working hard on my leash walking. I do great when there are no distractions but I need someone who is strong enough to handle me when I pull sometimes.

If you’re interested in meeting Charlie fill out an application on our website to be considered.
